Our hometown
Septic service in Hernando, FL
Bonded Septic Tank has worked out of Hernando, Florida since 1975. Our yard on East Manko Drive is both a service base and a manufacturing plant — the same place where we cast the precast concrete tanks that go into the ground across this county. When a Hernando homeowner calls with a failed lid or a backed-up tank, the truck is coming from a few minutes away, not the next county over.
Hernando is a lake town. Homes ring Lake Hernando, back up to the Withlacoochee State Trail, and stretch along East Norvell Bryant Highway and US 41 toward Inverness. The soil out here shifts from deep sand to shallow limerock in the space of a single lot, which is exactly why a drainfield sized off a rule of thumb tends to fail early. We evaluate the ground in front of us, then design and permit accordingly through Citrus County.
A large share of the systems here went in during the 1980s building wave, and they are now at the end of a normal service life. We pump, inspect, and give you a straight answer about whether you are looking at a repair or a replacement — then handle the permit, the removal and the new install with our own crew, crane truck and tanks.
County-wide
Serving Citrus County and all of Central Florida !
Citrus County runs from the Gulf coast at Crystal River and Homosassa inland through Lecanto and Beverly Hills to Inverness, Floral City and the Withlacoochee River. Most of it is unsewered, which means septic is not a niche here — it is how the county lives. We have serviced systems in every one of these communities, in many cases for the same families across three generations.
Conditions change dramatically across those miles. Coastal properties near Kings Bay and Three Sisters Springs sit on a shallow water table with strict setbacks written to protect spring water quality. The Tsala Apopka chain around Inverness and Floral City brings seasonal flooding and lots where a conventional field will never pass. Inland at Lecanto and Citrus Springs the sand drains well but limerock hides a few feet down. Knowing which of those you are dealing with — before the excavator shows up — is most of the job.
Because we manufacture our own precast tanks in Hernando, a Citrus County replacement does not sit waiting on an outside supplier. We pull the permit, set the tank, build the field, and stay until it passes inspection.
